Port Orford to Crescent City

Woke up early and walked to a place called Paradise Cafe in Port Orford, having seen, tasted and demolished their pancakes I can see why they named it Paradise 😉
Back to the motel to pack and let Naomi do her blog then a gentle 30 mile ride to a place called Kimble Creek, we were invited to a private campsite by some friends of Toms. Maggie and her sister Natalie and Maggies husband Shawn. The campsite is by the river Rogue and was beautiful.

After setting up camp we headed for the river and a quick dip,

No it’s not Ursula Andres it’s Naomi Johnson !!
Evening saw us at the campfire making Smores, a tasty sandwich of Gram Crackers, chocolate and toasted marsh mallow, very sticky but oh so good, washed down with beer 😉
Morning saw us packed quickly and after saying goodbye to our hosts we set of for a 61 mile ride with a huge hill and a different State, yes folks we’ve arrived in California

Absolutely stunning isn’t it ?
The route today was quite tiring despite having a tailwind for the majority of the day, the Tarmac was good as were the shoulders and the traffic was fairly light, I was happy to see the familiar KOA sign as this means that we’ve arrived at a good campsite with Wi Fi and hot showers, the camp is nestled among the Red Woods, we’ll be seeing lots more of these in the days to come

Best wishes

Lovely reading, it’s like my morning newspaper. Oh well best get up and let normal Tuesday activities resume. I may get on my bike later in my lunch hour and admire some stunning Chiltern hills in midday heat! Glad you are safe and well, and most of all enjoying it x
