Burlington to Standish Hickey

Woke up to bright sunshine and a dry tent, not even any condensation, this is a good day already !!
Our destination today is Standish Hickey State Park, it’s about 300m up a hill and about 50 miles away, there are also lots of other hills between it and us, not to mention a few tourist traps…

More tacky !!
We didn’t actually visit them all but we did enjoy the sheer volume of tat out there !
As I said it was sunny and the road up and down, we were still on the Avenue of the Giants at the beginning of he ride but by about 20 miles we needed coffee, step up Calicos Cafe in Garberville, great coffee, great cake and friendly people 😉

Calicos Cafe in Garberville. The rest of the day passed quickly as we had been told of a great cafe opposite the camp at Standish Hickey and we just wanted to get there early and set up the tents.
Here are a few other photos of the days ride..
